Tinley Park HS 2016-17 Titan Scholars Announced

The extra hours spent studying for last year’s ACT test has paid off for Tinley Park High School seniors who were recently named Titan Scholars. In order to qualify for this elite group, the students needed to earn a minimum of a 20 on their ACT test (although many surpassed that requirement). To formally welcome the 2016-17 Titan Scholars, TPHS Administrators sent each student an invitation to a special event held in the school’s Audion. While many students speculated that this event may have been related to the Titan Scholar program, none could be sure. When the event began, students were notified by a Snapchat video that they were officially Titan Scholars! Students celebrated with pizza, cookies made by the Culinary Arts classes, and props for students to have fun and create their own snapchat filter. Students also received a snap bracelet, which says "#TitanScholar2016." Pictures of the group will be displayed in the main office and outside the cafeteria. One additional perk of being a Titan Scholar is the option of opting out of final exams.
