Tornado Sirens In Midlothian Were Just A Test
Tornado sirens sounded in Midlothian Friday afternoon.
MIDLOTHIAN, IL -- Tornado sirens sounded late Friday afternoon in Midlothian, but the village was only testing the system.
The Midlothian Police Department made a statement on Facebook indicating that the sirens may be tested again multiple times over the next few hours.
"The test tones are quick, short tones," the test read. "If there is an emergency, longer tones will sound. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."
