UPDATED Testing and Boosters at SSC

South Suburban College Drive-Thru COVID-19 Test and Vax Site Operations Update

Please Note: The IDPH drive-thru COVID-19 test and vax site at SSC’s Main Campus will be closed on Wednesday, February 2nd an Thursday, February 3rd due to inclement weather.

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL – South Suburban College’s Main Campus is now providing free vaccinations and testing services seven days a week from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in South Holland. Vaccination options include Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson doses and boosters. The drive-thru set up is located within the Northwest Parking Lot at 15800 South State Street, South Holland, Illinois. While no appointment is necessary, individuals seeking testing may save time by pre-registering online from https://rebrand.ly/idph.

South Suburban College is also still providing free rapid COVID-19 testing at its Oak Forest Center through SHIELD Illinois and Loop Medical Center. The SHIELD rapid testing is available on Mondays from 7 – 9 a.m. The Loop Medical rapid testing services are on Wednesdays from 7 – 11 a.m. They include options for both saliva and nasal swabs, and testing results are available within 24 hours. Pursuant to Executive Order #87 signed by Governor J.B. Pritzker on August 26, 2021, all employees, students and regular visitors of South Suburban College are required to either be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or be subject to at least weekly COVID-19 testing. SSC has implemented the CLEARED4 compliance system to enforce the mandate on campus by validating an individual’s vaccination status with a Blue Pass or negative test with a Green Pass via smart device. More information is available online from ssc.edu/covid19. Self-registration is also available for regular campus visitors from www.ssc.edu/c19vax.
