Village Clerks Place Bet On Oak Forest-Bremen Football Game

Players on the winning team will be treated to a meal from The Hog Wild or Beggar's Pizza.

OAK FOREST, IL -- Friday night's football showdown between longtime rivals Oak Forest High School and Bremen High School has more than bragging rights on the line. A full meal from one of the area's most popular restaurants awaits players on the winning team after a bet placed by the village clerks of Oak Forest and Midlothian.

The Daily Southtown reports that if the host Oak Forest Bengals win, Midlothian Clerk Allen Moskal will buy the Oak Forest team a barbecue meal from The Hog Wild Restaurant on Pulaski Road in Midlothian. If the visiting Bremen Braves come out on top, then it's Oak Forest Clerk David Neuman's duty to treat the Bremen players to food from Beggar's Pizza at 156th and Cicero in Oak Forest.

Oak Forest and Bremen are set to kickoff at 7 p.m. Friday night. Both teams enter the contest 2-1. Keep track of scoring updates from this game and more with the Chicago Southland Prep Football Scoreboard.
