WeishFest Date And Several Headliners Set, Tickets On Sale Now

MERRIONETTE PARK, IL — The date is set, and several acts are lined up for WeishFest 2022, an annual fundraiser to benefit the nonprofit The Andrew Weishar Foundation, named in honor of a local man who died at 21 after a battle with cancer.

WeishFest 2022 will be held Dec. 2 at 115 Bourbon Street, with acts The Fray, Quinn XCII and Mitchell Tenpenny already set to perform. More acts will be announced as the event nears.

The one-night music festival is a major fundraiser for the foundation, named after its inspiration, Andrew Weishar. Also known as Weish4Ever, it brings to fruition Weishar's dying wish that his family and friends carry on the kindness and support he was shown during his battle with colorectal cancer. Weishar was a graduate of St. Damian in Oak Forest and Br. Rice High School in Chicago. He went on to play football at Illinois Wesleyan. He died in Oct. 2012 after fighting for three years.

In its 9th year, the festival has helped raise funds to help support 375 young adults, adolescents, and families battling cancer, with more than $2 million gifted to recipients.

Tickets are available online, and varying levels of access are offered at different price points. 115 Bourbon Street is located at 3359 W. 115th St.
