Winners Announced in Baking Basics Class Competitions at Bremen HS

Baking Basics students have been eagerly awaiting the results of their baking competitions this past week. Both Baking Basics classes competed within their respective class and then against each other. The final votes were then made by BHS staff.

The dynamic duo that won the cake decorating contest was made up of sophomores Jazlyn Galindrez and Juan Vallejo with a cake that resembled a hamburger with all of the filling and then topped with frosting made sesame seeds! The cupcake war competition was won by senior Sierra Jett with a cupcake that was topped with Cookie Monster eating three chocolate chip cookies.

“The students worked really hard to perfect their designs I’m proud of all of the students; they had crisp designs and a lot of creativity!” said Baking Basics teacher Mrs. Melissa Matlon.
