166 Citations Issued During OLPD's St. Patrick's Day Traffic Detail

OAK LAWN, IL – The Oak Lawn Police Department released the results of its St. Patrick’s Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Drive High, Get A DUI” campaign.

During the enforcement period from March 14 through March 19, Oak Lawn police officers issued the following citations:

  • 2 suspended driver’s licenses
  • 6 child safety seat violations
  • 102 seat belt citations
  • 56 miscellaneous Illinois Vehicle Code violations

Police also made a stolen vehicle arrest. Oak Lawn police joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners around the state. The enforcement campaign was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
