OAK LAWN, IL — Two people have been taken into custody in the violent home invasion of an elderly Oak Lawn woman in March. Oak Lawn police have arrested a man from Chicago and a 15-year-old juvenile, according to a police news release.

Around 6 p.m. March 22, in the 10500 of south Kenton Avenue, the 15-year-old girl rang the homeowner’s doorbell under the pretense of selling candy for her school. When the homeowner, a woman in her 70s, declined, the teen returned a few minutes later with two men, police said.

The three shoved the woman back into her house, knocking her to the floor. The teen held a gun on the woman as the two men ransacked her house, authorities said. Police said the three fled the house to a vehicle, where a driver was waiting.
