20-Year-Old Man Shot In Thigh Bleeds To Death: Cops
A shooting outside an apartment building left one man dead and another man seriously wounded, Bridgeview police said.
BRIDGEVIEW, IL — A man bled to death when he was shot late Wednesday evening outside an apartment building in Bridgeview, a police spokesman said. The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the man as 20-year-old Davion Butler. A second man was also seriously wounded and is in stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Around 11 p.m., Bridgeview police went to an apartment building in the 7300 block of West 85th Place. Officers followed a blood trail that led in and out of a third floor apartment. Police said Butler had been shot in thigh which severed a major artery, causing him to bleed to death.
Investigators believe that a dispute began outside the building because of the blood trail. Two witnesses are being questioned.
