Oak Lawn 2019 Memorial Day Ceremony: Photos

Oak Lawn remembers the men and women who sacrificed their lives for their country.

The ceremony included some short remarks by Mayor Bury, Trustee Vorderer, Trustee Mallo, Village Clerk Jane Quinlan and Congressman Dan Lipinski. Some touching parts of the ceremony were the laying of the wreaths by some of the Veteran groups; the 21-gun salute, the playing of Taps and a beautiful song titled: "We Will Always Remember" sung by singer & songwriter Gincy Hartin.

Thank you to Johnson Phelps VFW Post 5220, the Johnson Phelps VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Green Oaks American Legion Post 757.
