2024 St. Laurence High School Football Schedule Released

BURBANK, IL — High school football players will be taking to the gridiron as practices can officially start on Aug. 12.

A nine-game regular season, released Thursday, runs through the end of October, before culminating with the Illinois High School Association Football State Finals (November 29 to 30) at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal. The IHSA will be celebrating its 50th state championship games.

The Illinois High School Association, in partnership with Max Preps, recently announced schedules for the varsity teams. On Chicago’s South Side, fans will especially be keeping tabs on St. Laurence, as well as the area's Catholic high schools.

This fall, St. Laurence High School will be joined in the Chicago Catholic League/East Suburban Catholic Conference (White) by Montini Catholic (Lombard), Carmel (Mundelein) and Fenwick (Oak Park).

In 2023, the Vikings took fans on an amazing journey all the way to the IHSA Class 4A finals, only to fall short of winning a state championship to a dominating Rochester High School team.

Adam Nissen returns as the head coach of the varsity St. Laurence Vikings football team, which finished the 2023 season with an overall 10-4 record in the CCL/ESCC.

Locally, the Vikings’ regular season begins at home Aug. 30 when the Vikings entertain the Noble Academy Griffins. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
