4 Arrested After Cops Find Cannabinoids and Ant Killer in Vehicles: COURT

Occupants of two 'suspicious' vehicles had large quantity of synthetic cannabis and ant killer, Oak Lawn police said.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Two suspicious vehicles in the Jewel parking lot were found to have a large quantity of cannabinoids and ant killer used in the production of synthetic cannabis, prosecutors said.

Cortez Houston, 28, Esia Wahdani, 30, Raja Muhammad, 44, and Sozan Al Kilani, 34, appeared before Cook County Judge Donald Havis on assorted drug charges.

According to the charges, Oak Lawn police noticed two suspicious vehicles around 7 p.m. Fe. 22 in the Jewel parking lot at 95th Street and Pulaski Road. The four occupants were going back and forth between the two vehicles.

Police found 800 grams of cannabinoids along with 15 grams of cannabis. The four also had 1,323 grams of ant killer commonly used to spray the ingredients in synthetic cannabis to produce a chemical high, the prosecutor said.

Houston was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $50,000.

Muhammad and Al Kilani were both charged with possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $10,000.

Wahdani was charged with possession of cannabis. Bail was set at $10,000.

The four are due back in court March 20 in Bridgeview.
