4 OLCHS Staff Recognized With Spartan Excellence Awards For Going 'Above And Beyond'
The four were recognized for consistently demonstrating exceptional commitment, innovative thinking and relentless pursuit of excellence.
OAK LAWN, IL—Oak Lawn Community High School recently recognized four staff members—two teachers and two administrative team members—who have consistently gone above and beyond to improve the school district. These four were recommended by members of the administrative team and selected from a pool of candidates for consistently demonstrating exceptional commitment, innovative thinking, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
The recipients of the Spartan Excellence Awards are Maria Vanderwarren, superintendent executive assistant and head cheerleading coach; special education teacher Kyle Kuzur; student services secretary Joelle Maslowski; and career and technology instructor Sophia Black. These recipients were recognized by the Oak Lawn Community High School District Board of Education during its regular board meeting on March 18.
“We are incredibly proud to recognize the outstanding contributions of these individuals,” said Rob Loehr, board president. “Their dedication and hard work embody the values and ethos of District 229, and we are truly fortunate to have such talented individuals as part of our school district.”
