$750,000 Lucky Day Lotto Ticket Sold in Oak Lawn

Some lucky, unknown Jewel shopper won $750,000 playing Lucky Day Lotto, and, hopefully, got a great deal on bananas shopping at the store, too.

A winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Jewel Food Store, 8801 Ridgeland Ave., Oak Lawn, and matched all five numbers -- 06-08-09-10-33 -- to win $750,000 smackers in the Thursday, March 3 midday drawing.

Jewel will also receive a bonus of $7,500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket. We hope the “Ridgeland Jewels” puts out a nice spread in the break room for all the hardworking employees there in celebration of its bounty.

Two winning tickets shared Thursday’s $1.5 million jackpot prize. The other $750,000 winning ticket, also a Quick Pick, was purchased at Ardmore Station Liquors, 332 South Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park.

The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winners to immediately sign the back of their ticket (and keep it in a safe place) until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield, or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.
