Advocate Christ Medical Center Opens Post COVID Recovery Clinic

Advocate Christ Medical Center is committed to providing compassionate, expert care to patients who continue to experience symptoms following their diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. The Post COVID Recovery Clinic, lead by a multidisciplinary team, recently started treating patients who continue to experience lingering symptoms months after their acute infection.

“The majority of our patients are coping with a wide range of lingering symptoms ranging from life-altering fatigue and shortness of breath to brain fog. Our goal is to assess each individual patient, provide continuity of care and create a unique plan based on their ongoing symptoms,” said Kelly Baker, RN, MSN, clinical lead.

Those symptoms treated may include tiredness or fatigue, chest pain, dizziness, headache, cough, brain fog, anxiety, depression and muscle pain. The multi-disciplinary team will determine which specialists or team of specialists who will be involved in meeting with the patient and developing a
care plan to provide symptom relief and support.
