Advocate Christ Welcomes First Baby Born At Hospital in 2020

First baby born at Advocate Christ in 2020 will be named for his World War II vet great-grandfather.

OAK LAWN, IL — There was a different kind of New Year’s Eve party happening in the birthing center at Advocate Christ Medical Center on New Year's Eve. Lockport couple Kate and Jake Boyce welcomed their son SJ, who made his debut at 2:59 a.m. Jan. 1, 2020. SJ is the first baby to be born at the Oak Lawn hospital in the new year.

Baby SJ weighed 9 pounds, 21 ounces and measured 21-inches long. He is named for his great-grandfather, a 98-year-old World War II veteran. SJ joins his sibling Kennedy.
