OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Community High School sophomore Sam Bergamo is aggressive on the court and loyal to his commitment to the sport of tennis. This approach led to Bergamo earning a spot on the Spartan varsity boys tennis team this season.

After a very successful season with boys bowling, he is now looking for more of the same on the tennis court.

“Sam is an aggressive player who is always trying his best and works hard to improve his skills,” head coach Adam Winchell said. “His other teammates look up to Sam and recognize his growth as a tennis player. Sam also will seek out ways to continue to practice on his own by practicing indoors or at neighborhood courts in order to keep improving. I think he is capable of doing great things at first doubles this year and beyond.”
