ALDI Holds Job Fair Thursday at Chicago Ridge Location

ALDI is hiring store associates, shift managers and manager trainee positions at various stores around the south suburbs.

The supermarket chain will be holding a hiring event at the ALDI’s location at Chicago Ridge Mall, 9640 S. Ridgeland Ave., Chicago Ridge, on Thursday May 19. The job fair will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ALDI is known for offering wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry.

• Associate positions start at $13 per hour.
• Shift managers start at $13 per hour, plus an additional $4.50 an hour when peforming managerial duties.
• Manager trainee positions (Chicago Ridge only) pay $56,190 per year ($22.75 per hour averaging 45 hours per week), with an opportunity to earn $86,500-$94,000 per year as a store manager.

Interested applicants must be 18 years old to apply. Retail experience is preferred, as well as management experience for the manager trainee positions. New hirees must also be able to pass a drug test and background check.

All employees are invited to participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Employees with 25 hours or more per week are eligible for health benefits.
