Alleged Hotel Elevator Flasher Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Police said Chicago man let his robe fall open in Hilton Oak Lawn elevator, briefly exposing himself to hotel housekeeper.

OAK LAWN, IL -- A pony-tailed man walking around a hotel in just a bathrobe was arrested after he allegedly let his robe fall open on the elevator, briefly exposing his penis, reports said.

Police were dispatched to the Hilton Oak Lawn, 9333 S. Cicero Ave., around 4:10 a.m. Feb. 19. A member of the hotel’s cleaning staff told police she noticed the man, later identified as Mario Jackson, 46, of Chicago, walking around the lobby wearing his bathrobe, according to police.

Later as the housekeeper was cleaning the mirrors in the elevator, police said Jackson got on the elevator. On the way up, she observed Jackson in the mirror allegedly opening his robe and exposing his naked body. The housekeeper told police the action made her feel uncomfortable and alarmed. The alleged exposure lasted only a few seconds.

According to police, Jackson said that he and his wife were staying at the hotel, celebrating his wife’s birthday. His wife had fallen asleep in the room and he went outside to smoke a cigarette. Jackson also told officers that he had just come from the pool and denied exposing himself to anyone in the elevator.

Jackson was issued a village citation for disorderly conduct. The hotel manager said that Jackson and his wife were no longer welcome at the Hilton Oak Lawn and would be arrested for criminal trespassing if they returned. The couple left the premises without incident, reports said

Jackson’s adjudication hearing is scheduled for March 21 at Oak Lawn Village Hall.
