Oak Lawn Senior Rawan Sharfi Awarded Prestigious Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

The scholarship is worth $40,000 and includes a paid computer science internship.

OAK LAWN, IL—Oak Lawn Community High School senior Rawan Sharfi received the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship. Former OLCHS math teacher Pat Hennelly nominated Rawan for the prestigious scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded to students from underrepresented and low-income communities to pursue careers in computer science. The scholarship is worth $40,000 and includes a paid computer science internship.

This achievement not only highlights Sharfi’s hard work and potential but also reflects the strong support and opportunities available to students at Oak Lawn Community High School.
