Oak Lawn Senior Justin Canvin Named March 'Spartan Athlete Of The March'

OAK LAWN, IL—Justin Canvin is making the most of his senior season on the baseball diamond at Oak Lawn Community High School before heading off to play ball at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

He set the school record for career triples and for career doubles. He began the season hitting .550 with five doubles, two triples, and three home runs. He also knocked in 12 RBIs.

On the mound, he pitched the Spartans to victory in a game against Brooks and earned a save on the final night of the team’s Alabama spring trip.

For all this success, Canvin was named as the Spartan Athlete of the Month for March.
