South Side Man Accused In Just My Luck Bar Burglary Targeting Video Gaming Machines

Dionus Neely, 21, believed to be part of a crew heisting video gaming terminals, is facing charges for the Just My Luck burglary.

OAK LAWN, IL—A South Side man has been arrested in connection to a 2025 burglary targeting video gaming terminals at an Oak Lawn bar, police said.

Dionus Neely, 21, has been charged with burglary, theft/unauthorized control greater than $10,000 and less than $100,000, and criminal damage to property greater than $10,000 and less than $100,000, all felonies.

Oak Lawn police responded to an alarm at Just My Luck Bar, 9427 S. Cicero Ave., around 4:15 a.m. on Dec. 9, 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a burglary had just occurred. Five people were captured on security video at the bar during the burglary. Police said the crew targeted the video gaming terminals inside the business. The crew got away with cash, and several machines were damaged.

During their investigation, detectives identified Neely. Oak Lawn detectives presented evidence March 29 to the Cook County State’s Attorney's Office, which approved the felony charges. At the time of his arrest on the Oak Lawn charges, Neely had already been in custody at Cook County Jail since January on a separate gun charge.

Neely was indicted April 6 on the Oak Lawn charges and formally processed on April 20.
