OAK LAWN, IL — The search for the King of Spades continues as Park Lawn's popular Crown the King fundraiser rolled over once again Tuesday night at Birdies Sports Bar & Grill, sending the jackpot soaring to more than $10,035.

Guests packed Birdies for an evening filled with great food, cold drinks, outstanding service, and the anticipation of another card reveal. The weekly event has quickly become a community favorite, bringing supporters together while raising funds for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by Park Lawn.

This week's winning ticket belonged to T.P. (XXX-XXX-9044), who selected Card Position #5 on the game board. The card revealed was the 4 of Diamonds, earning T.P. 24 tickets into next week's drawing.

With the King of Spades still hidden among the remaining cards, the jackpot continues to grow and excitement continues to build with each passing week.

The next Crown the King drawing will take place on Tuesday, June 23, at 7 p.m. at Birdies Sports Bar & Grill, 4036 W. 111th Street in Oak Lawn.

Participants have the opportunity to win 60 percent of the jackpot if the King of Spades is selected and present on the board, or 50 percent if the King of Spades is not present. Twenty-three cards remain in play, increasing the anticipation as the board continues to shrink.

Tickets are available at Birdies Sports Bar & Grill and at Park Lawn's Oak Lawn location, 10833 S. LaPorte Avenue.

Proceeds from the fundraiser directly support Park Lawn's mission of empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through employment services, residential supports, day programs, and community engagement opportunities.

As the jackpot climbs higher and the number of remaining cards decreases, organizers expect another enthusiastic crowd for next week's drawing.
