• 'Scoring Machine' Jayden Schlosser Steamrolls Defenders For Oak Lawn Spartan Football (patch.com) — Oak Lawn football fans have a new hometown star in fullback Jayden Schlosser, who has powered the undefeated Oak Lawn Community High School Spartans with 602 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns this season. As the Spartans push toward the state playoffs, Schlosser's bruising runs and big-game performances set up a highly anticipated crosstown matchup against Richards at Korhonen Field on Oct. 2.
   

• Wolfe Wildlife Park set for major pathway makeover (southwestregionalpublishing.com) — Wolfe Wildlife Park's main walking path in Oak Lawn will be rebuilt this fall, bringing new pavement, lighting, and better accessibility along the popular route between 109th and 107th streets. Expect temporary closures and tree removals as Martam Construction completes the grant-funded project, with replacement trees and improved connections near Richards High School planned.
