The Pumpkin Church's 16th annual pumpkin patch exceeds last year's adorable-ness level, featuring tractor rides for $1, autumnal backdrops for family pictures, and a scavenger hunt. Make some memories with your kids and grandkids by building a scarecrow for $15.

New this year is the Pumpkin Patch Cafe, offering tasty options for purchase. The cafe is open Saturday and Sunday only from noon to 4 p.m.

Returning by popular demand is the costume tent where kids can try on Halloween get-ups for pictures among the gourds, pumpkins, hay bales and fall leaves. Tire out your preschooler by picking out a pumpkin before the afternoon nap. Other events are planned as well in the church parking lot, including:

• Craft fair 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24
• Parking lot sale, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31

Proceeds will fund community outreach programs for food justice, hunger relief, programs for youth/adults with addictions, Christian education and community for all ages and abilities.
