To all my OL friends and neighbors - early voting is open and the election is April 4th. Please vote! Let's vote in people who care about ALL of Oak Lawn!! These are the people you want to vote for: Streit, Koss, Schlesser, and Palermo.
-Remember, the current administration is trying to re-finance the Patriot Station TIF to add townhouses and a parking garage to go along with a medical building that SHOULD have 500 parking spaces but got a variation down to 124 spots.
-Remember that the current administration has botched the 111th Street Stony Creek Promenade TIF and that businesses in that development are ALREADY FAILING because of their poor planning.
-Remember that the current administration says crime is down when its clearly NOT.
-Remember that the current administration has been in an EIGHT YEAR battle to try to reduce the number of our fire fighters, costing US, the taxpayers, millions in legal fees. The current administration should have let the fire fighting professionals determine the correct staffing to keep our community safe.
-Remember that on on February 9, 2017 the Moody credit rating service dropped Oak Lawn's rating from A2 to Baa1. Once again, Moody’s listed “narrowed liquidity”, “rising pension costs” and “substantial tax base depreciation over the past five years”.
-Remember that the current Mayor KNEW about this when she gave her State of the Village address on Feb 14, but of course, didn't mention it.
-Remember that the current administration ran on the 'transparency in government' platform and it is clearly NOT transparent.
-Remember that the current administration employs a Village Manager who likes to bully, intimidate, and harass residents who publicly disagree with their plans and that he will even go so far as to contact your church and your employer to try to silence you.
-Remember that Bury's silence on this issue shows she condones this behavior.
-Remember that Bury and her 'yes men' went against the wishes of the resident/taxpayers and approved the Anthem Care facility in a residential neighborhood. Thank Bury, her 'yes men' and Larry Deetjen for that by voting the OUT!!
Let's dump this administration (Bury, Olenjiczak, and Vorderer) and elect an administration who works for US - the taxpayers!
