Ashley Marquez Named 'Athlete Of The Month' For Oak Lawn Girls Soccer
Ashley Marquez is always ready with a quick shot and a goal for Oak Lawn Community High School varsity girls soccer.
OAK LAWN, IL — Ashley Marquez always keeps her eye on the goal. So, she is always ready with a quick shot and a goal. This season, she is off to a roaring start for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls soccer team with a team-leading seven goals and two assists. The quick start earned her honors as Oak Lawn’s Athlete of the Month for March.
She is the guiding force behind the 3-1 start for the Spartans this March. She opened the year with two goals against Beecher in a 4-3 victory, and she notched a hat trick against Rich Township over spring break.
“Going into her second varsity season, Ashley has picked up right where she left off last season,” OLCHS head coach Jon Faro said. “Ashley has scored in all but one of our games this season. She is a tough competitor and brings energy to all practice and games; she is easy to coach and takes direction well.”
