Attempted Child Luring Under Investigation in Burbank
A man driving a dark colored van tried to lure two children into his vehicle on Thursday evening, Burbank cops say.

BURBANK, IL -- Burbank police are looking into a possible child luring that happened Thursday evening. Two children claim that a man driving a dark van tried to coax them into his vehicle. The children were not physically injured, police said.
Around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, July 26, the kids were walking in the area of 78th Street and Leclaire Avenue in Burbank, when man, possibly of Hispanic descent, invited the kids into his van. The children told him “no” and walked in the opposite direction.
The man is described as white, in his 50s, and wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. One of the children told police that the man may have been wearing a cloth style mask covering on his face when he spoke them. Police said there does not appear to be any “furtherance” on the man’s part. The van is possibly black or dark blue in color.
