Bank Bag Stolen In Broad-Daylight Robbery: Oak Lawn Cops
The suspect fled in a dark-colored getaway car, police said.

OAK LAWN, IL — Police are looking for the suspect in a brazen daylight robbery near an Oak Lawn bank.
The victim told police he had just left a bank and was walking north in the 8700 block of Central Avenue at around 1:10 p.m. when a suspect approached him from behind and grabbed the bank bag he was carrying. No weapon was displayed, and the suspect ran east on 87th Street before turning south on 55th Avenue to Avery Place, where he entered a dark-colored vehicle with temporary plates and fled, according to police.

Police said the suspect is described as a 6' to 6'2" male of unknown race weighing 150 to 165 pounds, wearing a dark-colored hoodie.

The victim was not injured in the incident,. Police are asking anyone who sees suspicious subjects or vehicles in their neighborhood to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Oak Lawn Police at 708-422-8292.
