Boy Scout Troop 596 Host 15th Annual Pancake Breakfast
Boy Scout Troop 596 will be flipping pancakes this Saturday, March 16, at Johnson-Phelps VFW Post 5220 in Oak Lawn.
OAK LAWN, IL — If you’re heading out to breakfast, or feel like pancakes, then toddle on over to the 15th annual Boy Scout Troop 596 pancake breakfast Saturday, March 16. The scouts will be flipping flapjacks from 8 to 11 a.m. at Johnson-Phelps VFW Post 5220, 9514 S. 52nd Ave., Oak Lawn (Yourell and 52nd Street).
For $7 you get pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice or milk. Tickets are available at the door.
Troop 596 meets out of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10400 S. Kostner Ave., Oak Lawn. A majority of the scouts attend Dist. 123 elementary schools. These are the scouts that sell hot dogs and popcorn at the village’s summer concerts and National Night Out.

All proceeds from the breakfast will help defray the cost of summer scout camp and fund the purchase of new equipment for the troop.
