*It seems to this person that politicians and government officials are overlooking one very BIG loophole in the gun control laws. *They can legislate all kinds of laws regarding background checks, mental health, etc., etc., etc.
*HOWEVER - what about those individuals (1) who have a legitimate background check, (2) AND no history of mental illness, etc., etc., etc., etc. BLAH BLAH BLAH and are then permitted to legally purchase the weapon of choice. *That legal purchaser THEN GIVES the "legally purchased weapon of choice, i.e., "assault weapon" TO a person with a criminal background AND/OR a record of mental illness!
*Should not the "legal purchaser" of the weapon be arrested, tried, and sentenced to prison, as well as the person who used that weapon to slaughter others? *It appears that there is a very "blind eye" to this loophole - BECAUSE sonofagun! *That might infringe on the "right to bear arms" by the so called "legal purchaser" of an assault weapon.
*Re-read the above very carefully! *Think about it!
*That is exactly what happened the week after the Newtown school shooting. That 60-yr. old man was given a legally purchased weapon by his neighbor. *He THEN set fire to 4-houses so he could kill first responders. *THAT INDIVIDUAL had a criminal record having served time for killing his grandmother. *The body of his sister was also found in the ruins of the house. *The neighbor woman apparently was allowed to legally purchase the weapon the criminal THEN used to commit arson and slaughter two fireman. *Should not the neighbo woman, purchaser, have to share some responsibility for this heinous crime? *Guess I am just in my dotage...and do NOT understand the logic of the United States Supreme Court judges!
