Thank You 3rd Congressional District

From Bridgeport to Joliet, Tinley Park to La Grange, I am truly blessed by the outpouring of support that citizens around the district have shown me. It's more a calling this year than anything else.

I just want to reach out to the voters of the newly redrawn 3rd Congressional District who have early voted or absentee ballot voted for me and extend a warm ‘Thank you’ for your support.  From Bridgeport in Chicago to Joliet, and Tinley Park to La Grange, I am truly blessed by the outpouring of support that ordinary citizens from around the district have shown me this year.  I am in awe each and every time a person has told me ‘Thank You’ for running.  This has proven to me that this is much more of a calling this year than anything else.

And for those who haven’t voted yet and will be making this most important trip to your polling place on Tuesday, November 6th, I hope that I can have your vote.

This is by far the most important election in our lifetime.  Make no mistake about it.  So much is at stake this next year!  Diversion from the fiscal cliff, Obamacare repeal, Dodd Franks repeal, the Durbin amendment repeal, lowering taxes, reducing spending, balancing the budget, protecting our USA borders, enforcing and toughening the immigration laws currently on the books, on and on.  We have way too many punitive laws on the books and way too much legislation that’s needlessly been written seemingly against us, ‘We the People’, the ordinary citizens and taxpayers.  We are drowning in a sea of regulations, with businesses being strangled by the winding red tape and can’t seem to move forward.

Who you select for your next U.S. Congressman and President will have a dramatic impact on the likelihood that we’ll be able to stop the excessive bleeding of tax money and get our country’s spending problem under control, ultimately getting to a balanced budget.  From there we can start the repair process so that out future generations won’t have to receive the melted credit card and bill produced by the voracious appetite of tax swallowing Progressive Democrat politicians of this generation.

At home, we tend to balance our income with our spending and bills that we have to pay.  It’s a common sense philosophy to not spend more than we can afford to.   Our own government should be held accountable to that same philosophy.  Who is charged with holding our elected representative accountable?  YOU and I the voter.  That is our job.  The ability to vote is so taken for granted.

In many other countries, the ability to vote and choose your representation for your local area, state and country are a very cherished privilege.  It’s amazing how many people here in our country treat this right and privilege as a non-priority, a back burner thing to get done on their chore list, if it even makes it to their list of things ‘to do’ at all on Tuesday November 6th, 2012.  We live in such busy times now, with so much information overwhelmingly filling our view of the world around us, from so many different sources now, that it’s become difficult for many to recognize and differentiate the real priority needs from wants and conveniences – we live in a time of information overload on steroids.  Life used to be so much simpler – where did it ever go?  Please find a way to make voting your number one ‘to do’ list item for your tomorrow.

I’m in this race so that our children and our children’s children can have something left of our country as we still know it to pass on to their future generations.  I hope that your voting decision will be on the side of our U.S Constitution, and our rights, freedoms and liberties this year.  Now let’s get out there and vote in 2012!!
