The Stylus and the LP's Band

Be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, August 25^th, from 7:00-10:00pm, to come out to the Oak Lawn Park District’s Stony Creek Clubhouse, 5850 W. 103^rd St., for a great night filled with live music on the outdoor patio.

Local musicians Vince Rodriquez, Carole Hall, Joe Leyva, and Adrienne Leyva from The Stylus and the Lp’s Band will provide the entertainment.  They are an oldies acoustic band that plays music of the 60's and 70's.

Ice Arena’s Cool Make-Over

The Oak Lawn Park District’s Ice Arena, located at 9320 S. Kenton Ave., recently installed a new Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit for the ice rink area of the facility that includes many benefits to participants as well as spectators. 

The new unit, manufactured by Controlled Dehumidification (CDIMS), is primarily a dehumidifier with heating and cooling capabilities added.  The up-to-date technology that the new HVAC unit brings to the Ice Arena will give patrons and participants an improvement in air quality while increasing their safety. For the park district, it will reduce utility consumption and save money. The Ice Arena has also received new ice and a new paint job.

A Grand Re-Opening of the Ice Arena will take place on Thursday, August 30^th, from 4:30-6:00pm.  On this day, take advantage of the $1.00 admission fee for open skate, free skate rental (while supplies last), free mini-lessons for all ages, games, raffles, and registration discounts for skating classes starting September 6^th.

Upcoming Ice Skating programs include a Mini 5 week session; Thursday classes start September 6^th; Saturday classes start September 8^th and a Fall 10-week session; Thursday classes start October 11^th; Saturday classes start October 13^th.        

New customers can register for one of the park district’s upcoming Tot 1 (ages 3 – 5), Pre-Alpha (ages 6 & up), or Adult, “Learn to Skate” group classes and receive a FREE skate rental punch card valid for 5 FREE skate rentals. Also, every registered student receives FREE OPEN SKATE for the length of the class!

FREE Festival for Dogs & People

Join the Oak Lawn Park District for the 3^rd Annual Woofstock Festival on Saturday, September 15^th, from 1:00 – 4:00pm, at Bailey’s Crossing Dog Park (9910 S.
