Around 11 p.m., a 17-year-old boy walked several blocks to the Bridgeview police station, claiming that his older brother had threatened him with a weapon. Police said the teen was able to escape from the house, but their mother and 13-year-old brother with autism were still there.
When officers arrived at the home on the 7800 block of South Oketo, Mustafa Farraj, 20, was believed to be inside holding his mother and 13-year-old brother with special needs at gunpoint.
