Bridgeview Man Caught With Stolen Gun, Meth, Blunt, Ammo: Cops

Justice police also found a scale with traces of meth residue, prosecutor said.

JUSTICE, IL -- A Bridgeview man was arrested after police found a blunt, meth and a stolen 9mm gun during a traffic stop, prosecutors said. Daniel Zamora, 45, appeared before Cook County Judge John Mahoney on felony charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance with intent.

According to the complaint, during the early morning hours of June 20, Justice police pulled Zamora over for expired registration the 8000 block of Archer Avenue. Zamora was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Officers found a blunt, 14 grams of methamphetamine and an unloaded 9mm handgun that turned out to be stolen, the prosecutor said.

Police said there was also a loaded magazine on the back seat, a scale with meth residue, plastic baggies and syringes. According to the prosecutor, Zamara has prior drug convictions.

Bail was set at $200,000. Zamora is due back in court July 15.
