Bridgeview Celebrates Red, White And Blue With Fireworks, Wienermobile, Family Fun
Celebrate Independence Day at Commissioner's Park in Bridgeview, July 3, for family fun, fireworks, food trucks, the Wienermobile and more.
BRIDGEVIEW, IL—Celebrate America’s sesquicentennial at the Bridgeview Park District’s 3rd of July fun family event filled with star-spangled entertainment.
The Independence Day celebration gets going around 4 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Commissioners Park, 81st Street and Oketo Avenue. There will be food trucks galore, games, DJ and activities for all ages, followed by a giant fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. Glow sticks will be for sale, so leave the sparklers at home.
The world-famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will also be parked in the lot. The friendly Hot Doggers will be handing out wiener whistles and taking pictures of you, your family and the Wienermobile with your phone from 5 to 8 p.m.

It’s not a good idea to bring a dog to a fireworks show, so leave them at home with the Animal Planet channel on.
Expect heavy traffic from 4 to 10 p.m. on Harlem and Oketo from 79th to 83rd Streets, as well as 79th and 83rd Streets from Harlem to Roberts Road. If you’re planning to to drive to the fireworks, there will be no parking near Commissioners Park.
