Bradley University golfer John Stillman, of Oak Lawn, Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete recognition.

PEORIA, IL — An Oak Lawn college student and Brother Rice High School graduate earned Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete recognition. John Stillman, a member of the Bradley University Men’s Golf team, was one of two students to be recognized for the first time since the 2018-2019 season.
Stillman appeared in all but one tournament in 2021-22, playing a career-high 26 rounds. He ranked fourth on the team with a 79.85 stroke average, which included a 77.63 over his final eight rounds of the season. Stillman's season-best finish of seventh came at the Spirit Hollow Fall Shootout. He matched the low round of his career with a 72 in the final round of the Butler Spring Invitational.
A political science major with a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average, Stillman fired 13 rounds in the 70s in 2021-22 and had four rounds of 75 or better. He has landed on the MVC Honor Roll twice.

Stillman is a second-generation graduate of Brother Rice High School, the son of attorney Mike Stillman, and the late Denise Miarecki, who acquired the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa, and pushed for an MLB game to come to Iowa.
