Bulldogs sweep SSC Red tournament

Varsity and JV bowlers from Richards roll!

The boys bowling teams from Richards High School both won the South Suburban Conference Red Division championship over the weekend.

Junior varsity finished with a total of 5753 pins, 610 more than the second-place team. All Conference medalists were Blake Attig 2nd place (203 average), Nick Schopper 3rd place (199 average), Trevor Coffman 4th place (193 average), John Englund 6th place (187 average) and Brendan Flahive 7th place (175 average).

Varsity finished with a total of 6155 pins – 386 pins ahead of their closest competitor. All Conference medals were awarded to Max Simik 2nd place (216 average), Matt LaBonte 3rd place (213 average) and Danny LaBonte 4th place (211 average).

Varsity also has won all three of its invitationals this season at Oak Lawn, Brother Rice, and Tinley Park.
