
The varsity boys bowling team from Richards High School won the IHSA Regional championship hosted by Oak Lawn. It's the third straight season the Bulldogs have won the regional crown.
The team rolled a season high series 6661 (339 pins ahead of the field of 12 teams.)
Junior Matt LaBonte placed second with a 238.5 average, while sophomore Blake Attig took third with a 238.2 average.

Joining them in the Top 10 were freshman Danny LaBonte (6th – 222 avg) and junior Owen Szarley (9th – 213 avg). Also on the winning Regional team are Max Simik (Sr), Dan Christian (Sr), Nick Schopper (So) and Trevor Coffman (So).
It's been a trophy-filled season for Richards. The Bulldogs won every invitational in which they competed. They head to the IHSA Sectional at Orland Park Bowl next Saturday, Jan. 19 at 9 a.m.
