The witness also saw O’Hara walk to a second Cadillac and try the door handle. O’Hara left and got back into a waiting Dodge Caliber, prosecutors said.
According to the charges, Diaz admitted to entering unlocked vehicles looking for stuff to steal. Duzakowitcs claimed he was in the car while the thefts were occurring.
Among the items found inside the men’s car, in addition to the three baseball caps, were a computer, GPS tracker, a watch and two cellphones, a Burbank police report said.
Prosecutors said the owner of the baseball caps identified them coming from his car.
The assistant public defender told the judge that O’Hara and Diaz are both graduates of Oak Lawn Community High School. Neither has a prior criminal background.
Duzakowitcs is a singer and a graduate of Reavis High School.
The prosecutor said that Duzakowitcs has a warrant for his arrest on a previous charge.
