Burbank Couple Found Shot in Home, Death Investigation Underway
Gun found in home where couple was discovered Tuesday, which Burbank police believe was used in incident. No threat to community, cops say.

BURBANK, IL -- A married couple was found dead in their home in Burbank late Tuesday afternoon. Police said in a news release that the couple was discovered by a family member.
Burbank police officers responded to the home in the 8500 block of Laramie Avenue for two unresponsive persons. It was determined that both persons were deceased and showed obvious signs of trauma, police said.
A firearm was discovered in the house and is believed to have been used in this incident. Police said the deceased, a 62-year-old woman and 64-year-old man, both lived in the home and were married. The residence showed no signs of forced entry or further foul play.

The couple was discovered by another family member who did not live in the home. Burbank police stressed that this is ongoing investigation and there is no threat to the community or public. The incident was confined to the home. Cook County Evidence Technicians and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting with the investigation.
The bodies were brought to the medical examiner’s office for post mortem examination and cause of death. The identifies of the deceased are not being released pending notification of family members.
