Burglar Forces Way Into Home, Tampers With Drawers
Neighbor saw strange truck parked in front of elderly homeowners home, cops say.

Someone broke into an elderly woman’s home and rifled through her drawers but did not appear to take anything, reports said.
Oak Lawn police responded to a report of a burglary in the 6700 block of West 90th Street shortly after noon on March 17.
The 72-year-old woman told police she’d been home about a half hour after being gone a few hours, when she noticed that the door to the family room had been damaged. She called 911 and waited outside for police.

Police said it appeared that the door had been forced open. The drawers in the upstairs bedroom were tampered with, but the woman said it didn’t look like anything was taken.
A neighbor said she saw a strange truck parked in front of the house and white or Hispanic man wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses leaving the house. He got into the truck and drove eastbound on 90th Street.

The neighbor did not know if anyone else was in the truck.
