Kayla McSweeney has been playing tennis for over 17 years. She began her training through the Oak Lawn Park District and the Wimbledon Tennis Club. At Richards High School, she played No. 1 singles all four years, qualified for the state tournament four times, and was a three-time individual and team conference champion. Kayla continued her tennis career at North Central College, where she was a two-year team captain, four-time team conference champion, and four-time NCAA national qualifier. During her time at NCC, she helped break numerous program records. She recently graduated with a degree in Secondary Education and Social Studies/History and will begin her teaching career this fall. Kayla is excited to work with your camper and is passionate about helping young players develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game!
Meghan McSweeney is Kayla’s younger sister and has been playing tennis for over 15 years. Like Kayla, she began her training through the Oak Lawn Park District and the Wimbledon Tennis Club. At Richards High School, Meghan played No. 2 singles behind Kayla for two years before stepping into the No. 1 singles spot her junior and senior years. She was a three-time individual conference champion and a four-time team conference champion. Meghan is currently continuing her tennis career at North Central College, where she is entering her junior year as a Mechanical Engineering major. She is a two-time conference champion and two-time NCAA national qualifier. She hopes to add to those accolades in her last two years at NCC. Meghan is excited to bring her energy, experience, and love for the game to camp this summer!
