Reception and Artist Talk at the Library 6-7:30 p.m. 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and the 15th anniversary of Oak Lawn’s highly regarded 9/11 memorial. Join this reception and artist talk with sculptor Erik Blome. He will reflect on creating the First Responders Memorial in Oak Lawn and show other examples of his work. Artist Tour: Meet at the Memorial 8-8:30 p.m. Erik Blome will present the artist’s view of the sculpture on site. Transportation to the memorial is not provided.
