Markham man was captured on private security video shaking car door handles, looking for unlocked cars.

OAK LAWN, IL — A Hazel Crest man was arrested on Sunday after he was spotted shaking door handles looking for unlocked cars, prosecutors said. Patrick McGee, 20, appeared before Cook County Judge John Mahoney on felony burglary charges. McGee is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections.
According to the complaint, Oak Lawn police were called to the area of 106th Street and Cicero Avenue for a report of a man shaking car door handles. Officers were provided with a description of the man, later identified as McGee, whom the prosecutor said was observed on private security video apparently looking for unlocked cars.
McGee was taken into custody walking through a business parking lot, police said. He was taken to the Oak Lawn police station. The prosecutor said police found other people’s credit cards that had been taken from two cars in the area. Police said McGee admitted to entering unlocked cars.
