Car Chase Suspect Caught On Hometown Roof: COPS
A wild, high-speed chase through the south suburbs ended when four suspects allegedly bailed out of a car, one on a rooftop, cops said.

HOMETOWN, IL -- Four suspects are in police custody after a wild car chase through the south suburbs early Friday morning. One suspect was caught on a rooftop in Hometown, according to news reports. It started along the Harvey-Markham border following a reported shooting incident. The suspects’ car fled on I-294 until it was spotted by Illinois State Police, then bailed off the tollway on to Cicero. That’s when the fun began.
Several local police agencies took up the chase at 119th Street and Cicero. The vehicle dead-ended in an alley off 91st Street on the Oak Lawn-Hometown border. All four suspects -- two men and two women -- allegedly bailed from the vehicle running through nearby yards; one suspect fled to a house on Corcoran and scaled the roof. Police spotted the suspect on the roof and eventually talked him into coming down, according to reports. He was arrested when he jumped off the roof.
Lorna Kendall, of Hometown, described for CBS 2 Chicago what is like listening to a suspect wanted by police walking around your roof in the pre-dawn hours. Her husband, Ed Kendall, was getting out his gun.
