Celebrate Earth Day at Wolfe Wildlife Refuge

Oak Lawn Park District and Village of Oak Lawn team up to host Earth Day Faire on April 30.

Celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with the Oak Lawn Park District and Village of Oak Lawn on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Earth Day Faire.

There will be fun for all ages at Wolfe Wildlife Refuge located at 109th St. and Lawler Ave, in Oak Lawn. Participate in a variety of family-fun activities including Jim Nesci’s Cold Blooded Creatures, Big Run Wolfe Ranch, tree climbing, kids crafts, scavenger hunt, education on green living, gardening and composting, a milkweed plant sale, and more. Admission is FREE and there will be raffles and giveaways.

You can also drop off your unwanted prescription drugs and expired over-the-counter pain relievers in the onsite bin, courtesy of the Oak Lawn Police Department.

The scavenger hunt will take place after Jim Nesci’s Cold Blooded Creatures show. You can’t win a prize if you don’t participate.
