Celebrate Inclusion at the 7th Annual Developmental Disability Awareness Night with the Chicago White Sox

CHICAGO, IL — Baseball fans, families, advocates, and supporters of people with developmental disabilities are invited to come together for the 7th Annual Developmental Disability Awareness Night on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, as the Chicago White Sox host the Texas Rangers at Rate Field.

Hosted in partnership with Intersect for Ability and the Chicago White Sox, this annual event celebrates the talents, achievements, and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities while promoting inclusion throughout our communities.

Everyone is welcome to attend—from individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to caregivers, direct support professionals, educators, service providers, community organizations, and anyone who believes in building a more inclusive world.

"This night is about bringing people together through the power of sports," said Mark Dynia, Intersect for Ability Co-Chair and Marketing & Community Relations Manager at Park Lawn. "When thousands gather at Rate Field and millions watch from home, we have an incredible opportunity to celebrate ability, inspire inclusion, and show what our community can accomplish together."

Each Developmental Disability Awareness Night ticket includes:

• An exclusive 2026 Developmental Disability Awareness Night commemorative T-shirt (while supplies last)
• Participation in the Pre-game Parade
• Automatic entry into a drawing for exclusive on-field experiences

Lucky ticket holders will have the opportunity to participate in one of several memorable White Sox experiences, including:

• National Anthem (pending White Sox approval)

The event has grown into one of the largest disability awareness celebrations at a Major League Baseball game, bringing together agencies, families, advocates, and supporters from across Illinois and beyond.
