Chicago Bears hosted Advocate Children’s Hospital patients
Four lucky patients from Advocate Children's Hospital recently went to Chicago Bears training camp in Bourbonnais

Advocate Children’s Hospital and the Chicago Bears partnered together to bring a group of pediatric patients and their families to Bears training camp yesterday, August 1, 2019, for a VIP experience. The four patients, who range in age from nine to twenty-six, all bravely battle lifelong serious illnesses from congenital heart defects to epilepsy. And, they are all the ultimate Bears fan!
Upon arrival to Bourbonnais, the families, who came from suburbs across the Chicago area, were escorted to a private tented area to watch their favorite team practice. For a special moment, the patients went on the field to break down the huddle alongside players. Immediately after, the kids received autographs from multiple players and coaches, including Kyle Long and Mitch Trubisky, on their very own Chicago Bears helmet. To wrap up the day, the group enjoyed a special lunch experience in the dining hall where Chicago Bears players (Pat Scales, Patrick O’Donnell and Elliott Fry) surprised the group and stayed for a private meet-and-greet.
