Chicago Fire Faces Chicago House In Lamar Hunt US Open Cup At SeatGeek
Tickets are on sale for the Lamar Hunt Open Cup match, April 26 between the Chicago Fire and Chicago House at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview

BRIDGEVIEW, IL – Chicago Fire FC will face Chicago House AC in the third round of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 at SeatGeek Stadium, 7000 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview. Broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
Season ticket members are now able to purchase tickets at the Members Headquarters Page. Tickets are on sale to the public and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
Midwest Premier League-side Chicago House AC defeated USL League One side Forward Madison 3-2 in extra time at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, Wis., Tuesday. Madison led the match 2-0 until the 75th minute, when House pulled one back. House leveled the score in the 90+2nd minute of regulation, forcing the game into extra time when a 103rd-minute House goal provided the upset.

House was established in 2020, beginning play in 2021. Formerly part of the National Independent Soccer Association, the team shifted to the MWPL in 2022. Chicago Fire FC assistant coach and Ring of Fire member C.J. Brown was the first head coach and technical director in Chicago House history, guiding the team before joining Fire head coach Ezra Hendrickson’s coaching staff ahead of the 2022 MLS season.
The Fire have won four U.S. Open Cup trophies in club history, winning the 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2006 editions of the tournament. Chicago’s four titles are tied with Seattle Sounders FC and Sporting KC for the most championships won by an MLS team, and the second-most in the history of the tournament. Additionally, the Fire has appeared in the semifinals on 13 occasions, including six times in an eight-year period (2011-2018), tallying a 45-16-7 all-time record in the annual competition.

A knockout style competition , the Open Cup is the second-oldest continually operating soccer tournament in the world. This year’s champion will automatically secure a berth in the 2023 Concacaf Champions League.
